Why Pain Management?
“I enjoy talking to people. As an anesthesiologist we never really get a chance to develop a relationship with patients. Usually we would only see patients for a few minutes before surgery and that could be the last time you saw them. In pain management, we get an opportunity to develop a relationship with patients and see them through a treatment plan. I also enjoy the technical side of pain management.
I like being able to provide procedures to alleviate pain for multiple conditions.”
Dr. Ko adds, “I am most proud of my patients that achieve their goals of pain relief under my care. This is the greatest satisfaction for anyone that treats chronic pain.”
In his spare time, Dr. Ko enjoys watching sports. He roots for all of the major professional sports out of Cleveland but mostly for the Browns. He’s an OSU football fan and recently started supporting the Columbus Crew. “My kids are all in sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball) and watching them play is one of my greatest joys.”
