eCards will be delivered Monday through Friday. eCards submitted after 4 p.m. on Friday are not delivered until the following Monday. On holidays, eCards are delivered the following business day.
In order to protect the confidentiality of our patients, we are not authorized to confirm your message has been delivered. An email confirmation will simply indicate your request has been received. It neither confirms nor denies the individual is a patient at Southeastern Med. eCards sent to patients who have been discharged will not be delivered and will be discarded. eCards are not confidential or secure, so please do not include information you do not wish to be viewed by others.

Patients may have requested a confidential stay and if they have opted-out of our directory, we cannot deliver the eCard.
The hospital has no mechanism in place to allow patients to reply to eCard messages. Please note that volunteers will only be delivering Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
Please keep in mind that e-Cards are only for patients who have been admitted to Southeastern Med. The content of your e-Card is NOT confidential, so it should not contain personal or medical information. e-Cards with inappropriate or confidential content may not be delivered. In the event that the e-Card recipient has been discharged or transferred from the hospital or if we receive incorrect contact information about the patient, your message will not be delivered via postal service, or any other means and the patient will not be notified of your message.
